BES Teacher of the Year

Barnwell Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year is described as a hard-worker who is willing to take on new challenges every day to impart instruction and create an excellent classroom environment for her students.  She has a strong command of the classroom and sets attainable expectations for all of her students. She is always concerned with the well-being and academic success of her students.  She has great energy and enthusiasm, as well as a positive attitude.  She always maintains an open line of communication with parents, and those parents continuously express their gratitude and appreciation of her working with their children.  She goes above and beyond for her students and will give nothing less than her best.  She is a woman of strong moral character and integrity.  Barnwell Elementary is fortunate to name our 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Sumita Sinha.
