Car Line Procedures

Car riders: No car riders or walkers should arrive at school before 7:00 a.m.  After 7:35 a.m. students and parent will report directly to the office for a tardy pass.  Car riders must be dropped off in front of the school at designated drop-off areas.  Students CAN NOT be dropped off or picked up at the bus circle behind the school.  No cars are allowed on the bus circle between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. except cars with designated parking passes.

If your child is tardy you must park in the front parking area and walk them into the office to sign them in as tardy.  DO NOT drop off your child outside if a school employee is not present at the car line.  Please do not drive over the grass or park on the highway for pickup during dismissal.  It is our goal to keep traffic moving smoothly and safely.  Car riders will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m.  All car riders will be escorted to the front of the school.  All parents/guardians must have a BES Car Tag for carline dismissal or they will be required to come inside the front office to present their ID.  All car riders must be picked up by 3:00 p.m.  

Changes in transportation: The latest time to issue an early dismissal is before 2:00 PM.  The only way a student’s transportation can be changed is by a written request signed by the parent/guardian.   All changes must include the address of where the child will be going and a phone number.  Transportation changes CAN NOT be made over the telephone unless the parent has established a secure passcode through the Parent Portal system. Changes in transportation can not be made via email. Forms for changing passcodes are available in the main office.
